Horrors from Screen to Scream by Ed Naha

This was a favorite book as a kid. Full of great black and white photos, and smart assessments of movies, actors, directors, and all other kinds of movie-magic makers. I read it and re-read it and am thrilled to still have it on my studio bookshelf. 

The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh

The cover is the best part of this comic, with the work inside solid but not special. 

The back cover is the cover art without the title and text and other extras. A cool little illustration.

I also loved this werewolf story from Batman. Great story by Len Wein, and great art from Neal Adams and Dick Giordano. Very dynamic panel design, so much movement, and with great clarity. Feels cinematic, like a tight little b movie classic.
